GLEN ALBYN
The Glen Albyn distillery was located west of Inverness, making it a Northen Highlander. Glen Albyn was founded in 1844 by James Sutherland, a Mayor of Inverness. In 1972 Glen Albyn was taken by the DCL (Distillers Company Limited; one of Diageo's predecessors).

In 1980 DCL decided to stop using the Saladin box maltings at Glen Albyn and three years later the crisis in the whisky industry lead to the closure of the entire distillery in 1983.
GLEN DEVERON / MACDUFF
According to my copy of the usually dependable 'Moss & Hume' bible, the Glen Deveron / MacDuff distillery was founded in 1962. In 1992 the owners Martini & Rossi were gobbled up by the Bacardi Corporation. They put their subsidiary John Dewar & Sons in charge of the Macduff distillery.

The Macduff / Glen Deveron malt whisky distillery is located on the far Eastern edge of Speyside, but according to their own labels it's a Highland single malt.
GLEN ELGIN
Glen Elgin Distillery nestles quietly in the heart of Speyside. Situated approximately 3 miles south of Elgin on the road to Rothes. Today, the distillery still proudly depicts the White Horse emblem and is part of UDV's "Elgin Group", along with Linkwood, Glenlossie and Mannochmore.
The whisky is still a key component of White Horse blended whisky. The Glen Elgin 12 year old has a positive, aromatic and a whiff of smoke, with notes of almonds, or marzipan.
GLEN ESK / HILLSIDE
In 1919, North Esk became North Esk Maltings. In 1938 owner Joseph W Hobbs converted North Esk Maltings into a grain distillery. In 1964, at which point grain distillery underwent another transformation, re-emerging as 'Hillside' malt distillery. Hillside carried on until 1980, when the name was changed to Glenesk. Glenesk was closed in 1985.

During its lifetime, Hillside / Glenesk was used almost exclusively for blending (a significant part of its output went into VAT 69).
GLEN FLAGLER
Glenflagler Distillery located in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, Scotland, produced the whisky Glen Flagler. Glen Flagler distillation commenced on the 25 February 1965 and the distillery was subsequently closes in July 1985.

Glen Flagler was used in the Hankey Bannister 40 Year old blend, which was voted the world's best blended Scotch whisky. A rare miniatures of Signatory.
GLEN GARIOCH
Glen Garioch distillery, is one of the oldest whisky distilleries in Scotland, dating back to 1797. The location chosen by John & Alexander Manson for their malt whisky distillery in 1797 was an obvious one. The distillery, which originally incorporated a brewery and tannery, stands on the very edge of the town Oldmeldrum in Aberdeenshire.
It is operated by Morrison Bowmore Distillers, which is owned by the Japanese company, Suntory.
GLEN GRANT
Glen Grant is a Speyside distillery. The distillery was owned by Chivas Brothers Ltd in 1840 year, best known for their Chivas Regal blended scotch whisky. To this day, Glen Grant continues to be one of the biggest selling single malts worldwide.
Glen Grant was purchased by the Italian company Gruppo Campari in December 2005. It is the biggest selling single malt Scotch whisky in Italy.
GLEN KEITH
Glen Keith is a distillery in Keith, Banffshire, in the Speyside region of Scotland. Glen Keith was founded in 1958 as The Glen Keith-Glenlivet distillery by Chivas Brothers, to produce malt whisky for their blends.

The distillery was mothballed in 1999, and subsequently sold to Pernod Ricard in 2001.
GLEN MHOR
Glen Mhor was founded in 1892 by Mackinlay & Birnie; the first whisky was produced in december 1894. The history of Glen Mhor is closely linked to that of the nearby Glen Albyn distillery.

The distillery was closed in 1983 and demolished in 1988. These days, Glen Mhor has disappeared from the marketplace.
GLEN MORAY
The Glen Moray distillery is a distillery in Speyside, Scotland. Glen Moray started life as a brewery run by Robert Thorne & Sons, and was converted to a distillery with 2 stills in 1897. The distillery was sold in 2008 by the Glenmorangie Company Ltd to La Martiniquaise.
The company now belongs to La Martiniquaise which uses its production primarily for blended whisky.
GLEN ORD
Glen Ord is a whisky distillery in the Scottish Highlands. The Ord Distillery Company was founded Glen Ord in 1838 by licence holders Robert Johnstone and Donald MacLennan. Today the distillery continues to produce Glen Ord whisky for Diageo, which includes the whisky in Dewar blends and Diageo’s "Hidden Malts" series.

The distillery won awards for the best single malt at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in 1994 and 1996.
GLEN SCOTIA
Glen Scotia distillery was built in 1832, and has been operating for approximately one hundred and eighty years. The distillery is situated in Campbeltown. Glen Scotia distillery was sold to a Glasgow blending house which is known as, Loch Lomond Distillery.
Glen Scotia currently operates with a staff of just three employees making it one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland.
GLEN SPEY
Glen Spey, even though it is located in the heartland of malt whisky production: the Speyside area. Glen Spey distillery was built in 1878 by James Stuart & Co. under the name 'Mill of Rothes'. Ownership of the Glen Spey is Diageo.In 2001 they launch the very first semi-official bottling of Glen Spey - a 12yo 'Flora & Fauna' release.

Since the vast majority of the malt whisky that's produced at Glen Spey is used in various blends (notably J&B - the logo is even integrated in the large name sign at the distillery).
